Alison Jones, MA, MBA is a coach, content consultant and publisher passionate about supporting people and books that make a difference.
After a 22-year career in trade and scholarly publishing working with major publishers such as Oxford University Press and Macmillan, during which she pioneered digital publishing with platforms such as Palgrave Connect, she set up Alison Jones Business Services and the Practical Inspiration Publishing imprint in 2014, providing coaching, content consultancy and publishing services to SMEs and entrepreneurs.
Alison also offers executive coaching and consulting services to the traditional publishing sector, particularly in the areas of digital publishing, business models and innovation-readiness. She combines strategic thinking, expertise at the highest level of traditional publishing and in emerging publishing services models, and training and experience as a coach dedicated to bringing out the best in others.
She writes a monthly Digital Digest for the Independent Publishers Guild, and is a member of the Publishing for Digital Minds advisory board, an affiliate associate with Maverick Publishing Services, an associate with training and creative agency Thread at the University of Falmouth, and an associate lecturer with Brookes University, teaching on their MA in Publishing.
